January 17 at Atlas Arena will be a special night—a concert featuring Poland’s biggest rock stars, evoking the atmosphere of the Polish People’s Republic, will be held to commemorate the period of martial law and Poland’s first free elections. The concert is a tribute to all those who, in the 1970s and 1980s, dared to speak out and take action for a free Poland. This evening is also a unique musical gala featuring the ambassadors of that era, whose energy undoubtedly provided inspiration and strength for further social change.
The following bands will take the stage at Atlas Arena to perform their biggest hits from those years:
– IRA
– Big Cyc
– Sztywny Pal Azji
– Chłopcy z Placu Broni
– Roses of Europe
– Wanda and the Gang
This special event will be accompanied by unique videos, photos, and materials from the archives of the Institute of National Remembrance (IPN), the Polish Film Institute (WFDiF), and the National Digital Archives. Everything will be displayed on a giant LED screen. The concert will last nearly 4.5 hours.
