The largest free urban music festival in Poland
Today, the Łódź Summer Festival is not only the largest free urban music festival in Poland, but also one of Łódź’s most important promotional assets. The event attracts visitors from across the country, generates millions of views online, and has a tangible impact on the local economy, from the hospitality industry to the food service and service sectors.
The Łódź Summer Festival has become one of the city’s most important promotional tools. Since the beginning of the year, it has generated over 8,400 publications and mentions, as well as advertising equivalency worth 26 million zlotys. No single marketing campaign could have provided Łódź with this level of exposure. Equally important, these numbers are backed by tangible results: nearly fully booked hotels, thousands of visitors to the city, and growing interest in Łódź both in Poland and abroad. Today, the Łódź Summer Festival is no longer just a music event. It is one of the most important tools for building the city’s brand.

Record-breaking tourist interest and nearly full hotels
With one month to go before the festival begins, there is also tremendous interest in the event within the tourism industry. According to data from Booking.com, 93 percent of available accommodations have already been booked for the festival dates.
Hotel occupancy currently stands at about 80 percent on Friday night and as high as 96 percent on Saturday night. The data shows that the Łódź Summer Festival has become one of the most important events attracting visitors to the city during the summer season.
For Łódź’s hotel industry, this is one of the busiest weekends of the year. An occupancy rate of 96 percent on the night from Saturday to Sunday means that the festival is having a tangible impact on travel decisions and hotel reservations. Importantly, we’re not just talking about concertgoers. Festival guests patronize restaurants, tourist attractions, transportation, and other services, so the event’s impact extends to many sectors of the local economy.

A larger festival grounds and expanded infrastructure
This year’s edition will also be the largest in terms of infrastructure. The organizers are expanding the festival grounds to include the area on the west side of Juszczakiewicza Street. The total area of the festival grounds, including the campground, will exceed 400,000 square meters.
More than 20,000 square meters of temporary roads will be built for the event, and the area will be secured by more than 10 kilometers of fencing. Nearly 2,000 security personnel will ensure the safety of attendees throughout the weekend.
This will be the largest production operation in the history of the Łódź Summer Festival. Over 20,000 square meters of temporary roads, over 10 kilometers of fencing, and nearly 2,000 security personnel are not just technical extras—they are essential for safely hosting several hundred thousand attendees. This year, we’re not only expanding the program, but we’re also significantly increasing the capacity and resilience of the entire festival grounds.

The growing interest in the event is also evident in online data. The official Łódź Summer Festival website has already been visited by over 300,000 unique users, and the festival’s brand has generated nearly one million organic views on Google.
Analyses also show interest in the event outside of Poland. The largest number of users following news about the festival come from the United Kingdom, the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, and Spain.
