Firefighters are conducting drills at Atlas Arena. This is an investment in the safety of event attendees
For years, Atlas Arena has made visitor safety its top priority. That is why, from July 7 to 9, the State Fire Service is conducting practical drills on the premises. The goal of these drills is to improve procedures and coordination among the emergency services that work every day to ensure the safety of attendees at concerts, sporting events, and mass gatherings.
Firefighters are improving their safety procedures
During the second week of July, firefighters from Rescue and Firefighting Unit No. 11 of the Łódź Municipal Headquarters of the State Fire Service are conducting drills in accordance with the annual training plan. This is a standard part of emergency services training, which allows them to refine their operations at one of Poland’s largest sports and entertainment venues.
The exercises include, among other things, conducting firefighting operations at simulated fire sites and testing procedures for situations requiring a rapid response.
The exercises do not affect preparations for the events
All activities are taking place under controlled conditions and have been planned so as not to disrupt the day-to-day operations of Atlas Arena. There is no evacuation of people, nor are utilities being shut off, so preparations for upcoming concerts and events are proceeding according to schedule.
Safety is a shared responsibility
Not only firefighters but also Atlas Arena security staff are participating in the drills. Together, they review safety procedures and practice information sharing and cooperation during rescue operations.
Regular training allows all emergency services to be even better prepared to respond effectively in crisis situations. As a result, visitors to Atlas Arena can feel safe during every event.
The collaboration will continue
The exercises are part of Atlas Arena’s long-term partnership with the State Fire Service. Additional hands-on training sessions are scheduled through the end of 2026, during which firefighters will familiarize themselves with the venue’s layout, safety systems, and procedures for organizing mass events.
The training sessions will take place during selected events and will be limited to the areas responsible for security management. They will not affect the course of the events or the comfort of their participants.
Safety—above all else
Safety is one of the most important aspects of Atlas Arena’s operations. Regular drills, cooperation with the State Fire Service, and continuous improvement of procedures ensure that the facility remains prepared to respond effectively in any situation.
