The Anilana Cup Super Cup kicks off today in Łódź!

More than 1,000 young participants kicked off the competition today at one of the country’s largest youth handball tournaments—the Anilana Cup Super Cup—which is being held in Łódź from August 28–30, 2025.

Over three days of sporting excitement, young athletes born between 2010 and 2015 will compete in six venues across Łódź, divided into girls’ and boys’ teams. A total of 73 teams will participate in the tournament. This is an event of exceptional scale, one of the largest tournaments for young players in Poland, bringing together handball hopefuls from all corners of the country.

The tournament finals will take place on Saturday. Afterward, all the young handball players will have the opportunity to experience the atmosphere of a major event by watching two prestigious Polish Super Cup matches at Łódź’s Atlas Arena. At 2:30 p.m., KGHM Zagłębie Lubin will face PGE MKS El-Volt Lublin for the women’s trophy, and at 6:00 p.m., ORLEN Wisła Płock and Industria Kielce will compete in the men’s match.

Anilana Cup Super Cup Winners' Ceremony

Between the Polish Super Cup matches—around 4:30 p.m.—there will be a closing ceremony for the Anilana Cup Super Cup tournament. The top teams will be recognized for their achievements, and standout players will receive individual awards in three categories: Tournament MVP, Top Scorer, and Best Goalkeeper. This is a unique opportunity to honor young athletes during an event that brings together the entire handball community.

The Anilana Cup ’25 Super Cup aims to promote handball among children and young people in conjunction with the Polish Super Cup – Łódź ’25. The event is organized by the Anilana Łódź Student Sports Club, Superliga sp. z o.o., and the Polish Handball Association in cooperation with the City of Łódź, the Marshal’s Office of the Łódź Province, and the Łódź Handball Association.
