More than 30 food trucks from all over the world will once again be in Lodz! On the first weekend in September, the area near the Atlas Arena will be filled with aromas, colors and flavors from the farthest corners of the globe - the Great Shama, the largest food truck rally in the city, returns.
For three days, attendees will be able to sample culinary gems from Georgia, Thailand, Mexico, Greece, El Salvador, Argentina and many other places. Guests will be treated to flavorful wok noodles, dim sum dumplings, Georgian chinkali and khachapuri, Italian Parmesan pasta, Greek pita and souvlaki, Salvadorian pupusas, Balkan koftas, Argentine empanadas, spicy Mexican tacos and burritos, Hungarian langois, and classic street food in the form of burgers, pastrami and casseroles.
There will also be no shortage of sweet offerings - from crunchy churros with pistachio sauce, to fluffy cakes in many variations, to chocolate-covered fruit and impressive Thai ice cream prepared live.
The Grand Shama is not only a culinary feast, but also a host of additional attractions. The organizers have planned contests with prizes, a time eating competition for adults, a field game for children, colorful inflatables, an art corner and a relaxation zone with deck chairs and music.
