The International Festival of Comics and Games has been held since 1991 and is the largest event of its kind in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe. Until 1998, it operated as the National Comic Book Creators’ Convention. The MFKiG is primarily a meeting place for creators and enthusiasts of sequential visual narratives and interactive electronic media. The 30th edition of the festival, held in 2019 at the Expo-Łódź hall in Łódź, was attended by over 20,000 people.
