From October 1–3, 2027, Łódź will once again become the capital of comics, games, and pop culture. The International Comics and Games Festival, one of the largest events of its kind in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe, will return to its familiar venues. The festival will once again take place at the EC1 Center for Comics and Interactive Narrative, as well as at the Municipal Arena of Culture and Sports—Sport Arena and Atlas Arena.
For years, the International Comics and Games Festival has been attracting fans of comics, video games, board games, and pop culture in the broadest sense to Łódź. It is a meeting place for fans, creators, publishers, and artists from Poland and abroad. As usual, the event’s program includes a fair, exhibitions, lectures, workshops, contests, and meet-and-greets with authors.
The next edition will begin on Friday, October 1, at the EC1 Center for Comics and Interactive Narrative, where temporary exhibitions prepared especially for the festival are scheduled to open. On the weekend of October 2–3, the center of festival events will shift to Atlas Arena and Sport Arena Łódź. For years, both venues have provided a shared space for a variety of festival activities. During previous editions, Atlas Arena hosted
an extensive exhibition area, lectures, contests, and meet-and-greets with creators, during which fans could get autographs from their favorite authors. The Sport Arena, meanwhile, was a space dedicated to gaming enthusiasts—including fans of computer and console games, as well as board and card games.
Combining the spaces of both halls makes it possible to organize a large-scale event with a variety of themed zones and attractions for participants of all ages. The festival has become a permanent fixture on the calendar of major events held at Łódź’s entertainment venues, attracting comic book and gaming fans from all over Poland to the city.
The detailed program for the 2027 edition, the list of invited guests, and ticket information will be announced by the organizer at a later date.
