Thursday, June 8 – André Rieu 2023

Violin virtuoso André Rieu, who has made the waltz beloved by millions around the world, has announced new concerts in Poland as part of his 2023 World Tour. He will perform in Łódź, among other cities. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m., and tickets are available at www.eventim.pl and www.andrerieu.com.

Below is a statement from the organizer:

Master André Rieu’s romantic and joyful concerts are a blend of light classical music, waltzes, film and opera scores, and pop songs performed by his own orchestra—the Johann Strauss Orchestra, the largest of its kind in the world. Rieu has had soccer crowds swaying to Shostakovich during several Champions League matches, and his global concert tours reach over half a millionpeople each year.

“Emotions are the key,” says André Rieu himself. “Everyone is welcome at my concerts. We open our hearts to the audience, and the audience opens their hearts to us. Every night, my orchestra and I see people dancing and singing in the aisles between the stands, enthusiastic and carefree. Together we spend evenings we’ll never forget. When people write to me saying they need two weeks to calm their emotions after my concerts, it makes me the happiest man in the world!”

André Rieu’s concert tours regularly outsell those of the world’s top pop and rock stars. His concerts are also a visual treat, from the sight of him and his musicians walking through the crowd onto the stage at the start of the concert, to the lavish costumes and the huge screen behind the orchestra displaying beautiful images tailored to each song, guaranteeing a magical evening for the whole family. André’s videos on YouTube have garnered over a billion views; 9 million fans follow him on Facebook, and the artist himself has sold over 40 million albums worldwide!
