It's impossible to sum up how far GHOST has come since it was born in Tobias Forge's imagination in the early 21st century. In the nearly 20 years since its inception in Linköping, Sweden, GHOST has become much more than just the most important Scandinavian theater rock band.
Achievements and accolades associated with GHOST's discography include nearly 10 billion streams, five GRAMMY nominations (including winning Best Metal Performance in 2016 for "Cirice"), an RIAA platinum single ("Mary on a Cross"), as well as the American Music Award and iHeart Radio Music Award (both for Rock Album of the Year 2022 for IMPERA, which topped the global charts).
As the band's popularity grew exponentially, so did its ambitions, resulting in the highest-grossing theatrical release in North American hard rock history - the band's debut film RITE HERE RITE NOW. As GHOST continues to strengthen its bond with a global community of fans who come together for its mystical concerts. It's no exaggeration to describe the band as a unique phenomenon on a global scale - and the extraordinary bond it forges with devoted followers who find refuge in the personas, mythology and world created by Forge.
Devoting the better part of the last few years to enchanting an ever-larger and more devoted fan base on tour after tour - from the run-up to the March 2022 release of IMPERA to the final US concert on September 11-12, 2023 at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles (documented in the cinematic hit RITE HERE RITE NOW) - GHOST embarked on a new and unfamiliar creative path, which this time led inward. This deeply introspective turn in Forge's creative process resulted in the album SKELETÁ, a collection of 10 new songs that go as deep as possible.

About Ghost:
Having amassed nearly 10 billion streams, GRAMMY award winners and global sensation, Swedish theatrical rock band GHOST continues to draw ever larger crowds with their "euphoric performances" (ROLLING STONE). The band's latest tour, RE-IMPERATOUR U.S.A. 2023, took in more than twenty North American cities to end with two concerts at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. In March 2022, THE LOS ANGELES TIMES wrote on the front page of its "Calendar" section that GHOST "conquered metal and the charts" when their fifth album "IMPERA" debuted at #1 on the U.S. album charts, rank #2 on the BILLBOARD 200 and #1 in their native Sweden, Germany and Finland, and entering the top five in several other countries. The album included the song "Spillways" - hailed by THE NEW YORK TIMES as "a sweetly composed piece of rock," later recorded with Joe Elliott of Def Leppard - and the GRAMMY-nominated "Call Me Little Sunshine," which earned the band its fifth #1 on Active Rock radio. ROLLING STONE commented: "GHOST predicted a pandemic, now a metal band predicts the fall of empires." The album tackles some of the most current and significant themes for GHOST, set against a darkly colored, melodic backdrop, making IMPERA a unique work - unequivocally and fully reflecting GHOST's distinctive style.
At the end of 2022, GHOST appeared on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the first time with the platinum hit "Mary on a Cross." "IMPERA" also won Favorite Rock Album at the American Music Awards and Best Rock Album of the Year at the iHeartRadio Music Awards. The band also released the "PHANTOMIME" EP with five covers, including a version of Iron Maiden's "Phantom of the Opera," which earned GHOST its fifth GRAMMY nomination.
Recently, the GHOST team showed even more ambition by hitting the big screens in June 2024 with the release of the feature-length film RITE HERE RITE NOW. THE LOS ANGELES TIMES enthusiastically commented: "When it comes to live performance, they are among the best in the business - and now they have a film to prove it." RITE HERE RITE NOW quickly became the most profitable hard rock cinematic event in North American history, and lived to see a soundtrack album hit the top of the charts. From devoted fans to curious new listeners, the GHOST concert experience draws audiences around the world, encouraging them to put down their phones and fully engage in the moment - completely enchanted and influenced by the magical atmosphere of GHOST.
