IL VOLO WILL SING ENNIO MORRICONE COMPOSITIONS IN LODZ!

The most handsome Italian trio, having millions of fans in the world, will come again to Poland! The singers will present songs composed by Ennio Morricone and recorded on a CD dedicated to this great artist. The concert will also feature the trio's most popular songs. The event will take place on July 9, 2022 in Lodz's Atlas Arena.

The concert has been postponed from 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. Entrance tickets remain valid.

Il Volo is a trio of Italian singers, well known in Poland, which has long since stolen the hearts of millions of female fans around the world. They have already performed in our country three times. Although the guys are in their twenties, they have been touring for more than a decade and can boast nearly four million records sold!

The band's debut dates back to 2009, when Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto and Gianluca Ginoble took part in the talent show "Ti lascio una canzone" broadcast on Italian TV RAI 1. There they were spotted by Michel Torpedine, manager of, among others, Andrea Bocelli and Zucchero, who decided to take them under his wing. The result of this collaboration was stunning! The Il Volo trio - as the first Italian artists in history - signed a contract with a major American record label, and their first debut album went straight to the top 10 of the Billboard chart. Since then, the three young vocalists have appeared on the most important European and American TV shows. Before the end of their second year, they were nominated for two Latin Grammy awards for their premieres and sang with Barbra Streisand on a twelve-concert tour of the United States and Canada. They also sang with Placido Domingo and Eros Ramazzotti. In 2013, in just eight hours, they sold 1,600 tickets for their first performance at Radio City Music Hall in New York, and the entire concert sold out within days. This event kicked off their 2013 tour of the U.S., Canada, Central and South America with fifty sold-out concerts, confirming their status as a rising star in the pop-opera market

The following year Il Volo received the Latin Pop Alabums Artist of the Year award at the Latin Billboard Awards in Miami. The breakthrough year for the Italian trio turned out to be 2015, when they won the prestigious San Remo Italian Song Contest. After this triumph, Il Volo's success was already unstoppable: the group reached number one on iTunes for the song "Grande Amore," which remains the trio's biggest hit to this day, amassing nearly 125 million views on YouTube. With this song, the singers represented their country in the Eurovision Song Contest, eventually taking third place. At the same time they had already released their fourth studio album, "L'amore si muove," which was released in 45 countries around the world. They have also performed in some of the most prestigious concert arenas in the world, including ancient Pompeii, Arene Verona and the Thermae Caracalli in Piazza Santa Croce in Florence, which was an unusual setting for the concert "Notte Magica - in homage to the Three Tenors." The event featuring Placido Domingo was shown live on the Canale 5 television channel, as well as filmed and aired in the US and in more than 500 cinemas in Italy and around the world. In 2017 and 2018, the group presented material from the "Notte Magica" CD in Europe, the Americas and Japan, as well as twice in Poland.

The years 2019 and 2020 for Il Volo were to be a time to celebrate their 10th anniversary with their fans. The singers inaugurated the anniversary at World Youth Day in late January 2019 in Panama with the presence of Pope Francis, to whom they sang "Ave Maria." Immediately afterwards, they took the stage again in San Remo with their new song "Musica che resta," heralding the "Musica" album. The album, released in early 2019, was also presented by the band in Poland, at a September concert in Arena Gliwice. But this is not the end of the vocalists' anniversary activity. On November 8, 2019, the trio surprised their fans with a new album - "Il Volo The Best of 10 Year" containing the band's most popular songs. The tour under the same title was supposed to last throughout 2020. Unfortunately, the coronavirus pandemic effectively thwarted these plans. Il Volo, however, did not rest on its laurels and decided to sit down to work on a new release. The result of the pandemic times became the album "Il Volo sings Morricone" dedicated to the greatest film music composer in Italy.

- Il Volo concerts in Poland are an undeniable attraction. The vocalists can create an amazing atmosphere, they make jokes and even try to speak our language, which momentarily breaks down all barriers between them and the audience. It is thanks to this that Polish fans have fallen in love with them with boundless love. I am very happy that we will again be the promoters of Il Volo concert and I already invite you to Lodz in summer," says Mateusz Pawlicki from Prestige MJM agency, which will organize the Italian trio's concert in Poland for the fourth time.

From their debut to the present day, the young artists have played nearly 400 concerts, most of them on sold-out nights. Tickets for their performances have been purchased by more than 2 million people in total. With plans for the next few years, Il Volo intends to conquer markets new to them: Asia, Africa, Australia and New Zealand. However, it is not forgetting its existing fans in Europe. After a forced hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic around the world, Il Volo will visit Poland again in 2022!

The trio's concert will take place on July 9, 2022 at Lodz's Atlas Arena. Tickets can be purchased through www.biletserwis.pl. The organizer of the concert is Prestige MJM agency.
