Comics, games, cosplay, meet-and-greets with creators, workshops, and live drawing demonstrations. The 37th International Comics and Games Festival will take place on September 19 and 20 at Atlas Arena, Sport Arena, and EC1 in Łódź. The organizers have just announced the event’s program.
It is one of the most important comic book events in Poland. For years, it has been drawing creators, publishers, artists, and thousands of fans from Poland and abroad to Łódź. It’s not just for comic book enthusiasts. The program also includes attractions for fans of manga, anime, video games, cosplay, and pop culture, as well as numerous activities for children and families.
MFKiG 2026 Program – Saturday
Saturday, September 19, promises to be exceptionally busy. The program includes meetings with Polish and international artists, workshops, panel discussions, screenings, and events on the festival stages.
One of the highlights will be meet-and-greets with guests at the 37th MFKiG. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet, among others, John Romita Jr., Riff Reb’s, Rafał Szłapa, Jacek Skrzydlewski, Mikael Bourgouin, Ernesto Gonzales, and Grzegorz Janusz.
There will also be an autograph area where you can meet the creators and get their autographs.
- Cosplay, workshops, and live drawing
One of the most spectacular parts of the festival will be the Cosplay Contest. Participants can also look forward to live drawing demonstrations, during which they’ll be able to see how a comic is created right before the audience’s eyes.
Fans of comic book creation will also be able to participate in workshops. Among the offerings for adults are classes on sculpting figurines, game design, creating dynamic comic book panels, and drawing in the manga style.

Saturday's program also includes panel discussions on comic book marketing, independent comic book showcases, and a conference for manga publishers.
During the meetings with publishers, you'll have the chance to find out what their plans are for the coming months and what new comic book and manga releases await readers.
The festival will also feature live podcasts and talks on video games.

The awards gala for the 36th International Comics and Games Festival will also take place on Saturday.
MFKiG 2026 Program – Sunday
Sunday, September 20, brings another round of events, workshops, and attractions for fans of comics and games.
The program included meetings with, among others, Gyula Pozsgay, Piotr Wojciechowski, Katarzyna Witerscheim, Jesse Lonergan, Marco Gervasio, and Mike Perkins, as well as representativesfrom CD Projekt.
- MFKiG for Children and Families
On Sunday, events will include the family workshop “Does Paper Giggle When a Pencil Tickles It?”, as well as sessions and storytelling for the youngest children led by children’s comic book authors. The youngest visitors can also look forward to manga workshops with Izumi Yoshida and the event “Scribble + Paper = Explosion.”
- Comic Book Lectures and Workshops
Sunday's program includes talks on the use of comics in education and the phenomenon of the game *Worms*. Visitors will also be able to watch more live drawing demonstrations and participate in workshops for adults.
Those interested in creating and publishing comics on their own can attend the session titled “How to Self-Publish a Comic—From Technical Details to Logistics.” It’s a practical guide for those who want to turn their idea into their own publication.
Throughout the weekend, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in charity auctions of drawings. The proceeds will go to support patients at the “Łupkowa” Children’s Hospice in Łódź.
