September 18, 2025 – Atlas Arena is undergoing a transformation. These investments are made possible by the establishment of Holding Łódź

Atlas Arena in Łódź is entering a new phase of development. The year 2025 will not only bring a record number of events and appearances by the biggest stars in the worlds of music and sports, but also investments that will enhance spectator comfort, streamline event organization, and reinforce the arena’s role as one of Poland’s most important entertainment venues.

The arena is currently undergoing a major renovation. The changes encompass both the public areas and the technical facilities necessary for hosting international events. Thanks to these changes, the Łódź venue will further solidify its position on Europe’s concert and sports map. The work currently underway at Atlas Arena will bring tangible benefits not only to the public but, above all, to event organizers. The new solutions will significantly reduce production costs, shorten preparation times, and ensure greater flexibility in event planning.

“For years, Atlas Arena has been the venue for Poland’s biggest concerts and sporting events. The year 2025 marks a milestone toward modernity and comfort for both audiences and artists. Thanks to Holding Łódź, we can operate on a large scale,” emphasizes Maciej Łaski, president of MAKiS.

Following the replacement of the arena’s lighting system, it was time to install a new multimedia system that meets international standards for sports and entertainment broadcasts. For the city, this presents an opportunity to host more prestigious sporting events, and for spectators, it guarantees high-quality visuals from every seat in the stands.

The new infrastructure means greater operational efficiency, ready-to-use advertising spaces, and modern communication tools. All of this means that events at the Łódź venue can be organized faster, more affordably, and with even better results!

Key investments at Atlas Arena in 2025:

  • New mobile bleachers – faster setup and takedown will allow for greater flexibility in organizing a variety of events.
  • The Modern Cube—a large-format LED screen suspended above the main stage—will enhance the visibility and visual appeal of performances.
  • Sky Bar – an exclusive space on the 4th floor of the arena that combines the comfort of watching events with a dining experience – will enable the creation of VIP-level experiences and expand the venue’s offerings.
  • Upgrading the ventilation system – ensuring 100% comfort during summer events.
  • Renovated facilities – refurbishment of the backstage area, cloakroom, and main entrance, as well as the creation of special booths selling official concert merchandise.
  • New multimedia infrastructure—including four LED screens with a total area of 144 m², scoreboards, an LED perimeter display, and an LED gate at the main entrance.

Synergy between companies and savings for the City

These upgrades are made possible by the establishment of Holding Łódź, which brings together four municipal companies: the Municipal Arena of Culture and Sport (MAKiS), the Municipal Zoological Garden – Orientarium ZOO Łódź, Aquapark Fala, and Expo-Łódź. These institutions had previously collaborated on organizing joint events and promotional campaigns. However, the holding company allows them to go a step further—to implement a joint business strategy, generate savings, and invest in infrastructure development without placing an additional burden on the city’s budget.

Atlas Arena, Fala, Orientarium, and Expo-Łódź—all of these venues offer a shared leisure experience that attracts not only Łódź residents but also tourists from across the country. In 2024, these attractions welcomed a total of over 3.3 million visitors. The start of 2025 suggests that this figure could be even higher.

We think strategically and invest in the future. Holding Łódź gives us a competitive edge, while offering residents and tourists modern attractions and unforgettable events. Atlas Arena plays a key role in promoting the city and building its brand as an attractive destination for residents, tourists, and businesses: it attracts international events, supports the local economy through increased activity in hotels, restaurants, and services, and creates an image of a modern, dynamic city open to the world – concludes Mayor Hanna Zdanowska.

The role and activities of Atlas Arena have also been noted by the trade press. The Łódź venue made it onto the podium of a prestigious ranking compiled by Pollstar magazine, confirming its status as one of the most important sports and entertainment venues in this part of the continent.
