September 8, 2025 - A lineup of events: gaming, esports, a drive-in movie theater, and the largest food truck festival in Łódź

Last weekend proved that Atlas Arena and its surroundings are one of the liveliest places in Poland—and certainly in Łódź! From Friday through Sunday, the Atlas Arena and Sport Arena venues, along with the area in front of them, became a hub for gaming, pop culture, food, and cinematic thrills.

Moto Polówka and Wielka Szama – movies and flavors from around the world under the open sky

Friday evening got off to a special start—the parking lot at Atlas Arena hosted another installment of the Moto Polówka drive-in cinema, powered by Zimny Auto. At 8:00 p.m., the audience watched the thriller *Get Out* on the big screen, and the screening coincided with the kickoff of the three-day Wielka Szama food truck festival.

More than 30 food trucks served dishes from Mexico, Georgia, Thailand, Argentina, Hungary, and many other corners of the world. On Friday, the festival stayed open until 10:00 p.m. to combine the excitement of film with a culinary journey. Wielka Szama fed everyone who came until Sunday, becoming one of the highlights of the weekend.

Meet at Rift Summer 2025 – Esports Thrills at Sport Arena

At the same time, from Friday to Sunday, the Sport Arena hosted the summer edition of the Meet at Rift festival. The event drew die-hard esports fans to Łódź. Attendees had the chance to watch the finals of the Rift Legends 2025 tournament, to which the top four teams from the summer split advanced: Forsaken, Stormedia FMS, Z10, and Barcząca Esports. They could also explore the Free2Play and cosplay zones and meet top players, including Marcin “Jankos” Jankowski, as well as esports commentators. The festival, known for its unique atmosphere, once again confirmed its position on the calendar of the country’s most important gaming events.

CD-Action EXPO 2025 – "For gamers and more!"

That same weekend, September 6 and 7, Atlas Arena hosted another edition of the CD-Action EXPO. Under the slogan “For gamers and more!”, attendees could visit the Gaming Arena featuring premieres of the latest games, the Nintendo booth with the Nintendo Switch 2 console, the family zone with LEGO and robots, as well as the Indie Mania Show, where independent developers presented their projects.

There was no shortage of attractions for fans of the classics—the Gothic Village transported fans to the world of the Old Camp, while the retro zone offered a chance to revisit iconic consoles and computers. The Board Game Arena and the CD-Action editorial booth were also popular, where visitors could get autographs and meet the magazine’s creators. The event was rounded out by panel discussions and meetups with streamers, journalists, and game developers.

Łódź has once again proven that it can bring together different worlds—from modern technology and esports to drive-in movies and culinary diversity. Thousands of attendees confirmed that Atlas Arena and its surroundings are a place where there’s something for everyone.
