Łódź's Birthday Celebrated to the Beat of the Biggest Stars

From July 24–26, Łódź became Poland’s musical capital for the fourth time. The Łódź Summer Festival 2026, organized to celebrate Łódź’s 603rd anniversary, once again drew hundreds of thousands of attendees to Łódź Błonia. Over the course of three days, 32 artists—including six international stars—performed on two stages, and the festival once again confirmed its status as one of the largest free music events in the country.

Performers included Timbaland, Sean Paul, Bastille, Natalie Imbruglia, Rudimental, Mata, Bedoes 2115, Justyna Steczkowska, Dawid Kwiatkowski, PRO8L3M, Pezet, Tede, White 2115, Żabson, happysad, and Ania Dąbrowska, treating the audience to dozens of hours of concerts.

The weather gave the participants a pleasant surprise

Although Friday’s forecast called for rain, the clouds quickly gave way to sunshine, and from the very first concerts, the festival took place in a wonderful atmosphere. Saturday and Sunday, on the other hand, were marked by beautiful summer weather, which made it perfect for everyone to enjoy themselves together well into the evening.

Moments We'll Remember for a Long Time

This year’s edition was full of memorable moments. Bedoes 2115 performed a moving song together with the children supported by the Cancer Fighters Foundation, symbolically “dissing cancer.” O.S.T.R. donated his Fryderyk Award statuette to the foundation, for which he was rewarded with a standing ovation from the audience.

Justyna Steczkowska also put on a spectacular show, soaring above the stage several times in impressive acrobatic routines. Sean Paul electrified the crowds with his Jamaican energy, while Timbaland took the audience on a nostalgic journey through the hits that topped the global charts years ago. Mata transported fans to the legendary Warsaw steps, and Dawid Kwiatkowski wowed the crowd with an outfit featuring a jacket inspired by Łódź’s architecture.

The festival also had some surprises offstage. Quebonafide paid a visit to the attendees, dressed as an elderly man and handing out ice cream, causing quite a stir among festivalgoers.

Record-breaking interest in the festival

The huge interest in the event was confirmed by the turnout. On Saturday evening, the organizers temporarily closed the entrances to the festival grounds after reaching the maximum number of attendees, in order to ensure the safety of the crowd.

According to estimates, nearly half a million people attended the Łódź Summer Festival over the course of three days, celebrating Łódź’s 603rd birthday together to the music of Poland’s and the world’s biggest stars. This year’s edition once again demonstrated that the festival has become a permanent fixture on the calendar of Poland’s most important summer music events.
