On Wednesday, May 28, 2025, Łódź’s Atlas Arena will once again become the largest examination hall in Poland. On that day, the Medical Verification Exam (LEW) and the Medical and Dental Verification Exam (LDEW), organized by the Center for Medical Examinations, will take place.
The exams are open to individuals who have completed at least five years of medical studies in countries outside the European Union and have obtained a medical or dental degree that qualifies them to practice in the country where the degree was awarded. Passing the LEW or LDEW exam is one of the requirements for obtaining the right to practice in Poland.
The exams consist of 200 multiple-choice questions and last four hours. To pass, you must answer at least 60% of the questions correctly. The exams are administered exclusively in Polish.
Several hundred candidates are expected at Atlas Arena, including participants from Ukraine, Belarus, India, Georgia, and Egypt. For many of them, this is a crucial step toward launching a medical career in Poland.
