This coming Thursday, August 20, the parking lot in front of Atlas Arena will be transformed into a drive-in theater. As part of the TME “Polówka” Summer Film Festival, another free Moto Polówka screening will take place . This time, viewers will get to see the cult animated film “Shrek 2.” This is the last chance to catch a screening at this location—starting next week, Moto Polówka is moving to the area in front of Moto Arena on 6 Sierpnia Street.
Shrek 2 on the Big Screen
"Shrek 2" is the second installment in one of the most popular animated series. Shrek and Fiona return from their honeymoon, but instead of a peaceful life, they’re in for a visit to the kingdom of Far Far Away and a meeting with Fiona’s parents. Of course, the film also features Donkey, Puss in Boots, and the distinctive humor that made “Shrek” a cinematic classic for audiences of all ages.
The screening will begin around 8:00 p.m., and admission is free.
What is Moto Polówka?
Moto Polówka is one of the sections of the TME “Polówka” Summer Film Festival —the largest free outdoor film festival in Łódź. As part of this section, parking lots in front of venues throughout Łódź are transformed into drive-in theaters, modeled after the drive-in cinema format popular in the United States.
Viewers watch the film from inside their own cars and listen to the audio through their car radios. This year, the Moto Polówka screenings are taking place in the parking lots in front of the Municipal Culture and Sports Arena facilities—first in front of the Atlas Arena, and then in front of the Moto Arena.
The Last Screening Before Atlas Arena
"Shrek 2" will be the last movie shown this season in the parking lot in front of Atlas Arena.
Starting August 27, Moto Polówka will move to the parking lot in front of Moto Arena on 6 Sierpnia Street.

Following the screening of “Shrek 2” on August 20, four more screenings are scheduled:

- September 5 – “Barbie”
- September 11 – “Crazy Day”
- September 17 – “It’s Nice to Lie in Good Company”
All Moto Polówka events are free, and access to the Atlas Arena parking lot is via Unii Lubelskiej Avenue.
