October is a busy month at the City Arena for Culture and Sports. As many as 20 events are scheduled at Atlas Arena, Sport Arena, and the city’s stadiums. The program includes concerts by Polish and international stars, cabaret, sporting events, and league matches. We’ve already seen concerts by Mrozu and Deep Purple, among others, and in the coming days, audiences can look forward to performances by Skawiński and Tkaczyk, Freestyle Heroes, OKI, Young Thug, and Fontaines D.C.
October began with music and the excitement of sports
The first few days of the month featured a concert by Mrozu at Atlas Arena and sporting events, including SHAQ Presents All Stars League 3. On October 8, hard rock legends Deep Purple took the stage at the arena, performing classics such as “Smoke on the Water” and “Highway Star.”
The October calendar also includes league games. Among them are soccer matches featuring Widzew Łódź and ŁKS Łódź, as well as volleyball and basketball games. This is yet another month in which the city’s venues cater to both music fans and sports fans.
Neo-Nówka and Skawiński/Tkaczyk – Upcoming Public Appearances
On October 10, the following act will perform at Sport Arena Kabaret Neo-Nówka will perform their show “Pokolenie DNA.” The audience can expect the troupe’s signature humor, witty dialogue, and skits that the performers update to reflect current events.
A day later, on October 11, Atlas Arena will host the concert “Kings of Life” by Grzegorz Skawiński and Waldemar Tkaczyk. The event will celebrate the 50th anniversary of their artistic careers. The setlist will include songs from various stages of the musicians’ shared journey—from Kombi, through Skawalker and O.N.A., to Kombii.
In the coming days, there will also be, among other events, Polish Cabaret Night “The Magnificent Seven!” (October 17).
Freestyle Heroes, OKI, and International Stars for the Month's Finale
The second half of October will bring more major music and entertainment events.
- October 21 – Young Thug: The American hip-hop artist will perform at Atlas Arena as part of “The New Generation Tour.” (Live Nation Poland)
- October 25 – Freestyle Heroes: an action sports show featuring athletes performing spectacular stunts on motorcycles, bicycles, ATVs, and other vehicles. (Freestyle Heroes)
- October 26 – Pacześ x Lotek Tour 2: a joint performance by two popular Polish comedians. (Pacześ x Lotek)
- October 30 – OKI: The audience in Łódź will see the rapper as part of the “MOSHPIT MEMBER TOUR.” (Revolume)
- October 31 – Fontaines D.C.: The Irish post-punk band will perform at Atlas Arena to promote their album “Dopamine Chamber.” (Alter Art)
