“When I turned 18, my only dream was to take the stage and shout out my youthful rebellion, my emotions, my true self… I thought it would be a one-time thing, that no one would trust that crazy, rebellious girl I was. Twenty-five years later, when it turned out that the eighteen-year-old’s dream had lasted and become my path, my passion, my work, and my devotion, I have to admit—deep down, I still have that rebellious child who wants to scream all the time, speak to people, and craves their presence and affection.”
That’s why just the thought of my 25th Anniversary Tour fills me with immense euphoria and enthusiasm. This is my life, my greatest love, and my most wonderful relationship: me and the Audience. Because a concert is always a duet: the artist and the people who appreciate them and love to listen. I want to come to you just as I am: brazenly honest, utterly devoted to you, and having had a huge problem with the word “compromise” for years 😉 Over these 25 years, we’ve matured together. You’ve learned about my life through my song lyrics and my ever-changing hair colors. Because that’s exactly who I am: changeable and consistent in my madness.
