Friday, February 21 – Cyndi Lauper

Cyndi Lauper will give a concert in Lodz. It will be her only concert in Poland!

Cyndi Lauper has announced dates for the UK and European leg of her farewell Girls Just Wanna Have Fun tour. Lauper's first such major tour in a decade (produced by Live Nation) will kick off in Europe next February. The artist will perform in Glasgow, Manchester, London, Birmingham and Belfast, before visiting Budapest, Lodz, Prague, Berlin, Düsseldorf and Paris. Lauper will be accompanied on the tour by special guests, whose names will be announced at a later date. Tickets will go on general sale on Friday, June 28 at 10:00 a.m. local time via Livenation.co.uk and www.livenation.pl.

The news of the European concerts comes just after the announcement of a North American farewell tour, announced earlier this month, and the release of a feature-length documentary film LET THE CANARY SING, which tells the story of Lauper's remarkable life and career. The documentary premiered on Tuesday, June 4 exclusively on Paramount+ in the US and Canada. At a ceremony at the prestigious TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, Lauper was honored and had her hands imprinted - all in celebration of her farewell tour and new film.

Directed by documentary filmmaker and Emmy® Award winner Alison Ellwood, LET THE CANARY SING made its world premiere at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival. Produced by Fine Point Films and Sony Music Entertainment in partnership with Concord Originals, the film tells the story of Lauper's rapid rise to fame and her profound impact on generations through music, her ever-evolving punk style, her unwavering feminism and social activism. The documentary is a fascinating journey through the life of a renowned and pioneering artist who left an extraordinary legacy through her work.

Legacy Recordings, a division of Sony Music Entertainment, has prepared a music release for the documentary of the same name. The accompanying album, LET THE CANARY SING, is a collection of songs from throughout Lauper's career. The album is now available on vinyl and as an expanded digital edition here.

Cyndi Lauper's farewell tour is directed by Brian Burke. BrianBurkeCreative and DX7 Design are responsible for the design and production.
