Progressive metal giants Dream Theater are returning to Poland! The American group with the cult lineup of Portnoy, Petrucci, LaBrie, Myung and Rudess will check in at Lodz's Atlas Arena on November 3, where they will celebrate their 40th anniversary.
Throughout their nearly 40-year history, these pioneers of prog metal have amassed an impressive list of achievements. Over 15 million albums sold, 3 Grammy nominations (including one win—two years ago in the Best Metal Performance category), and the album “Images & Words” making the Rolling Stone list of the 100 greatest metal albums of all time are, of course, just a few of them, but the Americans show no signs of slowing down. With each passing year, they solidify the legacy they’ve built, and this year will be no exception. After more than a decade apart, legendary drummer Mike Portnoy has returned to the lineup, and with him on board, Dream Theater is hard at work on their new album—their 16th to date. The turn of 2024 and 2025 therefore promises to be incredibly exciting for the band, so anyone who appreciates musical virtuosity, the clash of subtle and fierce melodies, and a masterful groove should head to the Atlas Arena in Łódź on November 3 to celebrate the band’s milestone anniversary in style!
