Basketball Festival

The Basketball Festival, or the official conclusion of the 2020/21 season in the Lodz Voivodeship will take place on Saturday, June 12 this year. We will meet at the Lodz Sport Arena named after Józef Zylinski.
Start at 10:30 am.
LZKosz will solemnly summarize the struggles of nearly 130 teams that took part in provincial competitions in the past season. More than 30 cups, nearly 600 medals, diplomas and awards will be presented. The best team in each age category will also receive a large flag, which, like in the NBA, can be hung in their hall. The awards will be presented by well-known basketball players, accompanied by participants in the Miss Poland of Lodz area pageant, as well as representatives of the local government and members of the LZKosz Board.

It is worth visiting the new Lodz Sport Arena on this day for another reason. It is because a very interesting match will be played - a junior match of stars. Teams from the East and West of Lodz Voivodeship will face each other. The teams will be mixed, seven girls and seven boys. Who will play in the match and wear a special T-shirt with peas, was decided in the first phase by the coaches, and then by fans in a vote. The voting was very popular, with more than 2,000 votes cast, which is why it was decided to have seven players in each team, instead of six, as previously planned.

The traditional match of Judges vs. Coaches will also be played. So far, the arbitrators have never managed to win. Who knows, maybe this year will be different...
Medals and cups to the best will be presented, among others, Dominika Wójcik winner of the title of Miss Lodz Land 2020 (and Vice Miss Poland) and Vice Miss Lodz Land Ewa Fedak. And on top of that, there will also be Zuzia Dzidkowska Vice Miss Poland Teenage Girls 2019. So it's worth showing up at Lodz Sport Arena!

After the Basketball Festival, on the same court, the Mini Basket League will finish its season! So basketball will be hosted at Arena Sport for almost the whole day!
