Il Divo – the quartet beloved by Poles is back!

The international quartet Il Divo is returning to Łódź! The singers will perform the greatest classical crossover hits so beloved by the group’s Polish fans. Il Divo will perform as part of their “A New Day Tour” on October 26 at Łódź’s Atlas Arena. Tickets go on general sale at www.biletserwis.pl on May 19. Registered users of Bilet Serwis will be able to purchase them a day earlier. 

Following the departure of the charismatic Carlos Marin, Il Divo continues its career. David Miller, Urs Bühler, and Sébastien Izambard have once again invited Steven LaBrie—an outstanding baritone singer—to join them on tour. Their joint tour bears the optimistic title “A New Day Tour.” Il Divo in this lineup has already won the hearts of fans. We saw this firsthand during the quartet’s concerts last year in Warsaw and Kraków, where a total of about 13,000 spectators cheered the artists on. All four made a stunning impression on the fans. As a thank you for the phenomenal performance, the Polish audience sang “Sto lat” to them at the end.

Il Divo is a pioneer of the genre known as classical crossover and is perfectly at home in this style, blending opera singing with pop music and reimagining global hits with their signature class and elegance. All of this means that not only the group, but the genre itself, is attracting ever-growing crowds of fans. It is Il Divo, alongside Sarah Brightman and Andrea Bocelli, who are the leading representatives of this movement. Other artists have followed in their footsteps: Il Volo, HAUSER, and David Garrett—now known around the world. The members of Il Divo draw from various musical genres, skillfully blending them into a cohesive and captivating sound. Polish fans also believe that during their concerts, they create “a wonderful, different world of melodies and captivating voices.” No wonder, then, that our audience eagerly awaits their concerts and looks forward to the quartet’s next performance every time. 

Il Divo has been around for 20 years, and Simon Cowell, the well-known talent scout and judge on talent shows, is considered the architect of their success. Since their first visit to Poland in 2012, the group has returned as an increasingly prominent star. The vocalists are well-known not only for their earlier live concerts but also for their television appearances. The quartet’s performance during the 1,050th anniversary of the Poznań bishopric, which was broadcast on television, proved to be a huge success. Il Divo performed on a stage located right above the Warta River on Ostrów Tumski in Poznań. The quartet was applauded by an audience of 20,000, and if we add their other performances, over 80,000 people in Poland enjoyed their concerts!

During this year’s performance by Il Divo at the Atlas Arena in Łódź, the group is sure to sing their biggest hits from their latest albums, including “You Raise Me Up,” “Adagio,” “Hero,” “Smile,” “Regresa a mí,” “I Will Always Love You,” and “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.”
