Stars of Polish and international track and field, outstanding athletic performances, and an unforgettable atmosphere in the stands—this is what the Atlas Arena in Łódź looks like every year during the ORLEN Cup track and field meet. “I recommend that fans mark February 8, 2025, on their calendars, because that’s when the next edition of the meet will take place,” says event director Sebastian Chmara.
The upcoming 2025 indoor track and field season promises to be exciting in every way. Fans of the "Queen of Sports" can look forward to an exceptionally large number of events, culminating in no fewer than two championship-level competitions. In early March, the European Indoor Championships will take place in Apeldoorn, Netherlands, and two weeks later, the World Athletics Federation will host the World Indoor Championships in Nanjing (People’s Republic of China). This scheduling of the athletics calendar is still a result of the pandemic, as the event in China was originally planned for the winter of 2020. However, before the world’s and Europe’s top athletes compete for titles and medals, Łódź will be a major highlight on the global athletics calendar. On February 8, the Atlas Arena there will host the next edition of the prestigious and exceptionally spectacular meet, the ORLEN Cup Łódź 2025.
The ORLEN Cup, which has been held in Łódź for years, has firmly established itself on the international athletics calendar. The meet attracts a large following, and the athletes competing in it achieve impressive results.
“ The ORLEN Cup is a flagship event. Some outstanding results have been achieved here. It’s worth mentioning, for example, the excellent performances by Ewa Swoboda and Pia Skrzyszowska during recent editions of the meet ,” notes Lech Leszczyński, president of the Łódź Regional Athletics Association and co-organizer of the event.
The ORLEN Cup Łódź 2025 track and field meet will take place at Łódź’s Atlas Arena on February 8. Tickets are available through the ticketing system of the Municipal Arena of Culture and Sport (MAKiS) in Łódź at www.bilety.makis.pl and www.bilety.atlasarena.pl.
Discounted tickets are available to: schoolchildren, students (up to age 26), graduate students, teachers, people over 65, retirees, disability pensioners, and people with special needs, provided they present a valid ID.
