SYMPHOETHNICis a unique musical project bringing together:
• the bandGolec uOrkiestra
• the symphony orchestra
• guest virtuosos playing ethnic instruments (folk orchestra, women’s highlander choir, Wataha drummers, folk flutes, Żywiec bagpipes)

What is SYMPHOETHNIC?

• It is the first in Poland—and one of the few in the world—to feature a 90-minute musical project that combines, in a modern way, the sound of a symphony orchestra with the unique ethnic music of the Carpathian region and traditional female vocal performances
• This is a show featuring about 50 outstanding Polish artists
• This is a show whose repertoire is 100% based on Polish music
• This is a space for young talent—students of the Artistic Creativity Centers run by the Golec Brothers Foundation
• This is a production in which tradition meets modernity in a fresh, bold form
• This is a performance featuring Poland's most outstanding ethnic music virtuosos in dialogue with a world-class symphony orchestra
• This is a performance of the highest artistic and emotional quality
• This project makes an important contribution to the development of contemporary Polish culture

Project Concept

“Symphoethnic”is music that transcends boundaries, defies divisions, breaks the mold, and cannot be confined to a single genre. One thing matters above all else: emotions.

It's a story told through sound, in which everyone can find a piece of themselves.

However, the project goes beyond these two worlds. Its sound also features:
• rock energy
• lyrical, cinematic atmospheres
• the atmosphere of the Podhale and Beskids regions
• jazz improvisation
• modern, club-style sounds

Designers of the arrangement

The arrangements are the work of outstanding Polish artists:

• Krzysztof Herdzin—pianist, composer, arranger, conductor, and music producer; orchestrator of Jan A.P. Kaczmarek’s Oscar-winning score; lecturer at the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz
• Rafał Rozmus—composer, violinist, and conductor; assistant professor at the Institute of Music at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin
• Łukasz Pilch—composer, arranger, music producer, and instrumentalist; guitarist for the band Budka Suflera

SYMPHOETHNICis more than just a concert.
It’s a musical experience that bridges generations, styles, and emotions—demonstrating that Polish tradition can sound modern, fresh, and cosmopolitan.

The event will take place on March 7, 2027, at 5:30p.m. at Atlas Arena in Łódź.
Ticket sales will begin on July 24, 2026, at 12:00 p.m.
