"F1: The Movie" on the big screen

Moto Polówka is picking up speed. On Thursday, August 13, participants will watch “F1. The Movie” —a 2025 film directed by Joseph Kosinski.

This is the story of racing legend Sonny Hayes, who comes out of retirement years later to help a struggling Formula 1 team. At the same time, he becomes a mentor to a young, talented driver and gets a chance to return to the top. The film runs 155 minutes.

What is Moto Polówka?

Moto Polówka is one of the sections of the TME Polówka Summer Film Festival —the largest summer film event in Łódź. This year’s 19th edition of the festival runs from June 30 to September 30 and features over 160 free screenings at dozens of locations throughout the city. The program features a variety of thematic series—ranging from art house cinema and blockbuster hits to family-friendly films, Polish classics, and, of course, drive-in cinema.

As part of Moto Polówka, movie screenings take place in the parking lots of Atlas Arena and Moto Arena, and viewers can watch the films from their own cars, in the tradition of American drive-in theaters. Screenings always begin after dark, around 9:00 p.m., and admission is free.
