“Less Than Zero,” “The Crisis Bride,” “Always Where You Are,” “Leave the Titanic Behind,” “Just Like Us” —it’s hard to imagine the history of Polish rock without Lady Pank’s songs. One of the most important bands on the Polish music scene is celebrating its 45th anniversary and is embarking on an anniversary tour to mark the occasion. On February 28, 2027, Lady Pank will perform at Atlas Arena in Łódź.
The anniversary concert will be an opportunity to experience music that has been bringing together successive generations of listeners for over four decades. The band’s greatest hits will be performed on stage, and Lady Pank’s history will also be showcased in a special multimedia presentation featuring archival photos and video footage.
From “Less Than Zero” to Four Decades on Stage
Lady Pank was formed in 1981 on the initiative of Jan Borysewicz. Together with Janusz Panasewicz, he formed the core of the band, which quickly became one of the most recognizable voices in Polish rock. Their debut album, released in 1983, featured songs that have left an indelible mark on the history of Polish music—including“Mniej niż zero,” “Kryzysową narzeczoną,” “Fabrykę małp,” and “Zamki na piasku.”
The following decades brought more iconic songs and albums.“Tacy sami,” “Zawsze tam, gdzie Ty,” “Mała wojna,” “Zostawcie Titanica,” “Stacja Warszawa,” and “Na co komu dziś” have become classics of Polish popular music. According to the band’s official biography, three generations of listeners have come to know its songs.
Over the years, Lady Pank has also revisited its greatest hits with new arrangements. The band has recorded, among other things, acoustic and symphonic albums, and in 2022, it appeared on the iconic MTV Unplugged series. The band’s anniversary story culminates with the album “LP 40,” released to mark their 40th anniversary, which achieved platinum status.
An Anniversary Meet-and-Greet with Fans
The 45th anniversary celebration will therefore be not only a concert featuring their greatest hits, but also a musical journey through the band’s history. The musicians themselves will take the stage to talk about important moments in their career—including those that are less obvious. The event will be complemented by archival footage, creating a multidimensional story about one of the longest-running Polish rock bands.
