April 20, 2026 - A weekend full of events on April 18–19!

A record-breaking weekend at Atlas Arena and MAKiS venues. Over 25,000 people attended events in Łódź

Last weekend (April 18–19, 2026) in Łódź was marked by intense sporting, musical, and business excitement. A total of over 25,000 people took part in events held at Atlas Arena and other venues managed by MAKiS, confirming the city’s growing role as one of Poland’s most important event hubs.

Sports, music, and city events all at once

The weekend kicked off on Saturday with the event “The Łódź Team Runs: 2nd Edition,” during which participants completed a 5-kilometer route through Aleja Unii and Park na Zdrowiu.

Sunday brought more large-scale events. The 2026 motorcycle season was officially kicked off—thanks to favorable weather and a large turnout, the event held at Atlas Arena drew several hundred motorcycle enthusiasts, confirming the growing popularity of such initiatives in Łódź.

At the same time, high-profile sporting events were taking place. KŻ Orzeł Łódź secured a victory at Moto Arena in a speedway match against INNPRO ROW Rybnik, while volleyball fans witnessed a special moment— PGE Budowlani Łódź claimed the Polish Championship title at Sport Arena, defeating KS DevelopRes Rzeszów 3-1. This is one of the most significant achievements in Łódź sports in recent times.

Atlas Arena: The Heart of Musical Events

The highlight of Saturday at Atlas Arena was the concert “50 Landmark Tracks of Polish Hip-Hop,” during which O.S.T.R. took the audience on a journey through the history of one of Poland’s most important musical genres. The event drew fans from across the country and reaffirmed Atlas Arena’s strong position as a venue for major concert productions.

Alphaville and the Effect MICE Festival – Łódź combines business with entertainment

Sunday’s concert by Alphaville, celebrating the 40th anniversary of their song “Forever Young,” was not only a musical event but also a key part of the Effect MICE Festival program. As part of the event, representatives of the events industry came to Łódź, where they had the opportunity to see Atlas Arena in action—both in terms of concert production and its business facilities and VIP offerings.

The meetings and study visits organized at the venue demonstrated how Atlas Arena bridges the worlds of entertainment and the MICE sector, offering space for conferences, galas, and special events held concurrently with major stage productions.

Łódź is cementing its position as a hub for events

The highlight of the Effect MICE Festival will take place on April 21 at EXPO Łódź, where representatives of event agencies, corporations, and service providers for the MICE sector will gather. The event will feature a silent-stage conference, an expo area, and business meetings as part of the Hosted Buyers program.

The organization of events of this scale in Łódź, along with their diversity—ranging from sports and concerts to industry conferences—directly contributes to the growth of the local economy and strengthens the city’s position as a key event hub in Poland and Central Europe.
