MARCIN GORTAT CAMP is the idea of annual meetings and trainings of our only NBA player, taking place in Poland, with children in the age range of 9-13.
The first Camp was held in 2008 in Lodz, but already a year later classes were held in seven Polish cities - hosts of EuroBasket, and in 2017 we already had the jubilee 10th edition! What is important, although the Camps have been taking place for a few years now, their form has not become outdated at all, and every year more and more children are eager to meet with players and coaches of the NBA and the Polish national team. So far (2019) we have visited 17 cities and towns in Poland as part of this event, being in some cities several times each!!!
They were: Lodz, Krakow, Warsaw, Sopot, Rumia, Torun, Wroclaw, Lublin, Olsztyn, Gdynia, Zielona Gora, Dabrowa Gornicza, Nidzica, Plock, Radom, Siedlce, Piaseczno. Of course, one must not forget that Marcin supports not only Polish sports and but also our military. Hence, organized by our foundation, MG Camp for children of soldiers in Polish Army units. The kids of our servicemen could play and train with us in Lubliniec, Bielsko-Biala, Kazun, Gliwice and Witkow (Powidz). During all these trainings we had the pleasure of training with more than six thousand of the youngest adepts of the sport. It is now a well-established event, which attracts more and more young basketball adepts every year.
