The Polish Handball Super Cup Returns to Atlas Arena

Two matches, four top teams, thousands of fans, and one of the biggest events in Polish sports—the Polish Super Cup is returning to Łódź’s Atlas Arena. On August 29, 2026, Łódź will once again become the capital of handball. Fans can look forward not only to thrilling matches but also to many additional attractions that will ensure this day remains etched in the memories of handball fans for a long time to come.

In the first match, at 3:00 p.m., the reigning Polish champions and Polish Cup winners—KGHM Zagłębie Lubin—will take the court. Facing off against the “Copper Girls” will be the Polish vice-champions—PGE MKS El-Volt Lublin, the most successful club in the history of Polish women’s handball, boasting as many as 22 national championship titles. This clash between two powerhouses of women’s handball promises to be thrilling from the very first whistle.

At 7:00 p.m., the giants will clash in the Polish Men’s Super Cup match. The current Polish champions and defending champions—Industria Kielce, the most successful club in the history of Polish handball with 21 national championships and a Champions League title to its credit—will take to the court. Their opponent will be the Polish Cup winner, ORLEN Wisła Płock, which has nine national championship titles to its name. For years, these matches have electrified the entire Polish sports world and are synonymous with world-class competition, featuring a fierce battle for every goal right down to the last second.

Plenty of attractions at the Super Cup Park Fan Zone

The Polish Super Cup isn’t just two top-level matches—it also features a range of other attractions that will be waiting for fans on August 29. These include multimedia displays, the chance to meet handball legends, a special “Super Cup Park” Fan Zone with handball courts, a wide variety of food and drink options, and attractions for both children and adults. There will also be contests with prizes and charity initiatives. Just as in 2025, the upcoming edition of the Polish Super Cup is set to be a celebration and the biggest club handball event of 2026 in our country.
