From September 5 to 27, Poland will host the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup for the first time in history. The top young talents in women’s soccer will play in four Polish cities—Łódź, Katowice, Sosnowiec, and Bielsko-Biała.
Łódź will be the tournament’s most important host city. As many as 20 matches will be played at the Władysław Król Municipal Stadium on Unii Lubelskiej Avenue, including the most important matches of the entire tournament: both semifinals, the third-place match, and the grand final, which will determine the world’s best youth national team.
The top soccer talents will play in Łódź
As early as the group stage, fans in Łódź will see some of the world’s top national teams. The stadium on Aleja Unii will host, among others, the U.S., Japan, and North Korea —teams that were among the best at previous World Championships.
The Polish national team will play its group stage matches in Katowice and Bielsko-Biała. The roster, led by head coach Marcin Kasprowicz, includes two players from UKS SMS Łódź: Zofia Pągowska and Martyna Bartczak.
The stadium and practice fields are ready for the tournament
Łódź's preparations for the championships included not only the main arena but also the city's training facilities.
At the Władysław Król Municipal Stadium, the natural turf was replaced with a modern hybrid surface that combines natural grass with mechanically woven synthetic fibers. This solution increases the field’s durability and resistance to heavy use, while also maintaining a high quality of play.
Four training fields were also prepared for the tournament: two MOSiR fields on Krańcowa Street, one MOSiR field on Małachowskiego Street, and the Milan Club Polonia facility on Potokowa Street. All of them underwent maintenance and modernization work to ensure they met FIFA’s demanding standards.
FIFA Returns to Łódź
The September championship will be the second event organized in Łódź in cooperation with FIFA and the Polish Football Association. In 2019, the Municipal Stadium at
Piłsudskiego Avenue was one of the venues for the FIFA U-20 Men’s World Cup.

Tickets for the championship games are available on the Łączy Nas Piłka ticketing website.
Ticket holders on the day of the game may ride public transportation to and from the stadium for free from 6:00 a.m. to 11:59 p. m.
This will be a special September for fans of women’s soccer. For three weeks, Łódź will become one of the most important destinations on the global soccer map, and the Władysław Król Municipal Stadium will be the venue for the tournament’s most crucial matches.
