The last two weekends of summer vacation in Łódź will be packed with sporting excitement. Residents will have the chance to see soccer legends and the best Polish handball teams, try their hand at a forest run, or get behind the wheel of a go-kart. There will also be plenty of events for children and the whole family.
The most action will take place on August 23, 29, and 30. The program includes both large-scale shows at the stadium and at Atlas Arena, as well as events you can participate in yourself. It’s a good idea to check the availability of tickets and starter kits in advance, as some events have limited capacity.
Łagiewnicki CryoRun
Date: August 23, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
Location: Łagiewnicki Forest, near the “Kaloryfer” parking lot on Wycieczkowa Street
Participants can look forward to a 6-kilometer route along forest trails. They can complete it by running, walking, or using Nordic walking poles. Participation is free, and at the finish line, participants will receive a medal, water, and a post-event meal. There is a limit of 300 participants.
Łódź Karting League
Date: August 23, 2026, 6:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m.
Location: Gokart Arena Łódź, 19 Smugowa St.
The competitors will face off in two qualifying races and two finals. Each participant will spend at least 30 minutes behind the wheel, and the points earned will count toward the standings of the 18th season of the Łódź Karting League. The entry fee is 200 zł. An additional practice session will be available before the competition begins.
Polish Handball Super Cup
Date: August 29, 2026
Venue: Atlas Arena, 7 Bandurskiego Ave.
Over the course of a single day, fans will see two matches—one women’s and one men’s—featuring the Polish champions and the winners of the ORLEN Polish Cup. A single ticket grants admission to both matches, as well as to the family-friendly Superpuchar Park zone, where contests, activities, and meet-and-greets with the athletes are planned.
The cheapest tickets cost about 41 zł. Children under 6 years of age may enter for free, but a separate seat is not guaranteed.
All-Star Game: Poland vs. France
Date: August 29, 2026; activities start at 2:00 p.m., game starts at 5:00 p.m.
Location: Municipal Stadium at 138 Piłsudskiego Ave.
Legends of Polish and French soccer, as well as well-known figures from the worlds of sports and media, will take the field at Widzew Stadium. Among those who have confirmed their participation are Grzegorz Krychowiak, Samuel Umtiti, and Robert Pirès.
The Łódź Soccer Camp finals will take place before the match begins. Fans can also look forward to a family fan zone and a performance by the band Modelki. Ticket prices start at 28 zł.
15th Fabrykant Run
Date: August 29, 2026, at 6:30 p.m.
Location: Start at 22/24 Tymienieckiego Street
The 10-kilometer course will take runners through the streets of the charming Księży Młyn neighborhood. Earlier, starting at 3:00 p.m., the Little Factory Worker Races will be held for the youngest participants.
The main race is limited to 1,500 participants. The entry fee depends on the order in which registrations are received and may be up to 139 zł.
Pizza Run 2026 with Da Grasso
Date: August 30, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
Location: Rev. Józef Poniatowski Park
To wrap up the summer vacation, participants will combine physical activity with a reward: a slice of pizza at the finish line. The organizer will set up a 5-kilometer course for adults and shorter distances for children.
Detailed rules and regulations, registration guidelines, and package prices for the 2026 edition are to be announced by the organizer.
A Sporty End to Summer Vacation in Łódź
The end of August will be a great opportunity both to cheer on athletes and to stay active. Over the course of two weekends, Łódź will host running races for adults and children, karting competitions, and two major events featuring sports stars.
