THE ARTIST WILL MAKE HIS DEBUT ON NOVEMBER 30, 2024, IN ŁÓDŹ AT THE ATLAS ARENA, ACCOMPANIED BY A SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA.
JIMEK is a unique figure in the music world—classically non-classical, drawing equally from high culture and musical subcultures and genres that rarely intersect with symphonic music. He has come to be known for his musical projects, which are a surprising fusion of forms, modern production, and top-tier guest artists.
His symphonic project featuring rap was a major event on the Polish concert scene and sparked a trend for this kind of collaboration.“We shouldn’t be put off by the number of such projects around us; we should keep pushing ours further and higher,” comments JIMEK. It looks like another love letter to the symphony orchestra is on the way—an ensemble that the composer, as he himself says, will never tire of.
What will JIMEK surprise us with this time?
Following the huge global success of HIP HOP HISTORY ORCHESTRATED BY JIMEK, a two-part celebration of the history of Polish hip-hop held in Warsaw’s Bemowo district and at the Slaski Stadium, we know only that this time he wants to take the audience on an eclectic journey through his greatest musical projects and collaborations, but, as always, in a completely new form. The goal is one: to always play differently, to always play a different concert—which is what matters most in live performances without a laptop.
We can expect the unexpected. We can expect that we never know who will take the stage besides the orchestra. We can also expect every possible genre, which won’t be named until after the concert. Let’s agree that SUBKLASYKA is a musical subculture that we all create together.
A classic with a twist, a twist on a classic
SUBKLASYKA is more than just a different approach to orchestral performances. It is the musical universe of JIMKA, who, like no one else, can bring together worlds that seem incompatible. Always doing things his own way, going against the grain, without artistic compromises, guided by his own compass of taste and style. SUBKLASYKA is also a non-classical approach to the structure of the concert itself, where works such as Historia Polskiego Hip Hopu, Hip Hop History Orchestrated By JIMEK, compositions for the films Sztuka Kochania, Panic Attack, Woman With… or History of Jazz, as well as pieces commissioned by the philharmonic, such as CRUX or RF1. It turns out that one can find oneself just as well in hip-hop, in symphonic music, in trap, and in film.
In music, habits are the worst
For years, JIMEK has shown that you have to let go of your expectations to truly experience a musical adventure. It’s like a blind date, except we know we’ll walk away in love. Can we expect madness? Definitely! His concerts are always full of surprises. Will rappers show up? We can be sure of that. Will guests from other parts of the music scene appear? For sure. Will the concert be a spectacular show? After a spectacular stadium production, we can expect something exceptional.
“There’s no adventure if you know what to expect. Only uncertainty brings fulfillment. In concerts, I’m not interested in hitting play on something you could play exactly the same way in a moment on your headphones by hitting play yourself. That’s the starting point for why we long for the musician and the act of making music, for the person, for freestyle, for the coincidence of circumstances.”
Concerts like this don’t happen often on the local scene. What’s more, it looks like this will be the only chance this year to see Radzimir Debski perform with a symphony orchestra. One thing is certain—JIMEK has never played in Łódź before.

All tickets are personalized, which means that when placing an order, you must provide the first and last name of each attendee. The first and last name of each concert attendee will be printed on the ticket. Tickets will be checked at the concert entrance to verify that the information on the ticket matches the information on the participant’s ID. It will be possible to change the information on the ticket—the fee for this is 30 PLN per ticket. Please note that information can only be changed once. Tickets for People with Disabilities Tickets for people with disabilities are available to anyone who uses a wheelchair, regardless of the degree of disability, upon presentation of the appropriate documentation. If an Event Participant with a disability requires the assistance of a support person, admission to the Event for the support person accompanying the Event Participant with a disability is included in the price of the Event Participant’s ticket. Each Event Participant with a disability may be accompanied by only one and the same support person upon each entry to the Festival Grounds, based on the Ticket. This entitlement applies exclusively to support persons accompanying individuals with a significant degree of disability. The degree of disability must be confirmed by a decision of the County Disability Assessment Team. Based on the Ticket, the Event Participant with a disability and their support person will receive separate wristbands.
Age Restrictions – Minors between the ages of 12 and 16 may attend the event under the supervision of an adult and at the sole responsibility of the adult in charge of their care.
– Minors who are 16 years of age or older may attend the event on their own, provided they present a document confirming their age upon entry to the event venue. Failure to present such a document will result in denial of entry.
