The top men's volleyball teams will play at Atlas Arena. Łódź, together with Gdańsk and Olsztyn, will host the World Championships in 2027!
Łódź can easily be called the capital of volleyball. In recent years, Atlas Arena has hosted matches from the Nations League, the Champions League, the European Championships, and Olympic qualifiers. In many cases, Atlas Arena has proven to be a lucky venue for the Polish national team. This makes it all the more exciting that some of the matches for the 2027 Volleyball World Championship will take place right here in our city. Atlas Arena will host matches in two groups, as well as the Round of 16 and quarterfinals, potentially featuring the Polish team. Organizers emphasize that Łódź not only provides comfortable sporting conditions but also a unique atmosphere. The city is famous for its passionate fans, enthusiastic cheering, and rich volleyball tradition, which is expected to be one of its main strengths. This is also a great opportunity for Łódź. Tens of thousands of tourists and millions of people watching on TV will have the chance to see the City of Textile Workers.
A return after 11 years
Atlas Arena has already hosted World Championship medal matches. The Polish team played two thrilling matches here, defeating Brazil (3–2) and Russia (3–2). These victories allowed them to advance to the medal round and ultimately claim the gold.
Tickets
The exact date when tickets go on sale has not yet been announced. Before we find out about ticket sales, the White-and-Reds will face the 2026 season, during which they will compete for the European Championship, among other titles.
